The Reason for Music

It's songs like this that bring me to the verge of tears. Don't forget me by RHCP off of By the Way is a song which is so beautiful and emotional that words cannot describe the feelings brought on by this song. This song is why music is the most powerful thing on this planet.

Cover

An amazing Led Zeppelin cover band. These people have never met in person. They record their part of the song they want to play and they mix them together. They all capture the sound of Zeppelin pretty well.

I Wish He Stayed

http://www.nme.com/news/red-hot-chili-peppers/48857

This is absolutely gut wrenching. Guitarist John Frusciante has left the Chili Peppers. What I consider to be one of the greatest foursome rock groups will never be the same. The raw emotion driven guitar licks created by Frusciante will be in use elsewhere. I hope everything works out for both the Chili Peppers and Frusciante.

Chickenfoot's New Album and Chad Smith

Chickenfoot, the supergroup featuring Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, Joe satriani, and the heartbeat Chad Smith.
Unfortunately when I think of Chickenfoot images of simplicity and Van Halen come to mind. Don't get me wrong all are talented musicians but in this group it just doesn't work.
Chad Smith's typically powerful, dynamic mixture of beats and creativity is very much lacking. Being a drummer I listen for the beats belted out by the drummer. In Chickenfoot they are kind of catchy but are nothing special. I'm just very glad to know that the Chili Peppers are back together and jamming.

Drummers...

The great Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chickenfoot and the Bombastic Meatbats.
Over the years I have tried to emulate his style of drumming. His powerful funk-rock, passion fuled style is definitely one of the greats.

Hello hello

Wassup, I'm starzyk, I love the drums. I've been playing for about 4 years. In high school 2008, I was in a band called South City Vibe which lasted about a year, during that year we managed to compile enough material to perform at some venues. Places such as The Webster Underground 2 times, The Space 2 times, our high school, and the Plainville YMCA. After most of the performances we began to become distant and have differing musical ideas. About a year after our formation we split.

In 2009 The Bassist, and my best friend Joe burns and I then tried to create a band with a friend of ours who played guitar. We then wrote some material and played at a talent show which we lost to jump roping... You must think we sucked, but it was all a popularity contest. Anyway I will post a video of that performance so you can judge whether we sucked or not. After the talent show our guitarist wrote an acoustic song which we played at the high schools coffee house. That performance didn't go too well due to the fact that we enlisted the piano skills of our friend Jeff who was the guitarist for the above mentioned SouthCity Vibe and he didn't get too much time to practice. After that we tried to stay together and make music but with college we had to seperate.
